This song was recorded in the summer of 1932 for the Paramount feature film The Big Broadcast of 1932 (premiering Oct. 14, 1932) along with the song
Heebie Jeebies (which did not make it into the film). It was then recorded for Brunswick on Dec. 7, 1932 (Martha Boswell (p), Dick McDonough (g),
Artie Bernstein (sb), New York City B-12697-A- Crazy People (Monaco-Leslie) 2:30 Brunswick 6847, [BSC3]) and again in Holland on July 18, 1933 (The Boswell Sisters Discography).
Heebie Jeebies (which did not make it into the film). It was then recorded for Brunswick on Dec. 7, 1932 (Martha Boswell (p), Dick McDonough (g),

The Boswell Sisters’ good luck song, recorded on Oct. 3, 1930 for Okeh (The Three Boswell Sisters, acc. by Martha Boswell (p) Los Angeles-W-404408-B Heebie Jeebies (Atkins) 2:52 Okeh 41444, [BSC2], [A], [ITG], [TOOMA]) and again on Aug. 27, 1931 for Brunswick (Dorsey Brothers Orchestra: Mannie Klein (tpt) Tommy Dorsey (tbn) Jimmy Dorsey (cl, as) unknown (vln) Martha Boswell (p) Eddie Lang (g) Joe Tarto (sb) Stan King (d) New York-E-37113-A Heebie Jeebies (Atkins-Boswell) 2:37 Brunswick 6173, [BSC1], [NWST], [ELMB], [IY]) before being recorded for the Paramount feature film The Big Broadcast of 1932 (premiering Oct. 14, 1932) along with the song Crazy People (which did make it into the film). Two more recordings ensued, one for Brunswick in September 1934 and one with The Ramblers in Holland in August 1935. This two-minute clip has been featured in At The Jazz Band Ball--Early Hot Jazz, Song and Dance (1993), Yazoo 514, DVD/VHS; and in Hollywood Rhythm Volume 2--The Best of Big Band and Swing (2001) Kino DVD, among other uses (The Boswell Sisters Discography).
